Lindsey Graham's latest defense of Donald Trump is a racist attack on Kamala Harris

As Donald Trump’s second impeachment approaches, Lindsey Graham has made a series of extremely odd threats. On Tuesday, he suggested that should Democrats call a single witness, Republicans would call in the FBI to give a full accounting of how white supremacist groups had planned for weeks to carry out violent acts on Jan. 6. The reason that Graham thinks that this is a threat which should concern Democrats is because Fox News and other right-wing sources have been working hard to convince their viewers that the entire impeachment is just about things Trump said at the “Stop the Steal” rally just before the assault on the Capitol. So if anyone was doing pre-planning for the insurrection, that lets Trump off the hook. Except that’s not at all what the impeachment documents actually say.

It’s not clear if someone actually made that point to Graham, but when he was questioned about the impeachment on Wednesday, Donald Trump’s most loyal senator was ready to voice an even more obscure response—one that involves a long-running, and racist, Republican lie. If Democrats call even a single witness to discuss events on Jan. 6, Graham promised that Republicans would turn the table and … use the impeachment trial to attack Vice President Kamala Harris.

2. Why is Graham so afraid of calling any witnesses? What is he protecting?

I know. It's a silly question. But nonetheless it's worth plowing through to an answer. The very notion that Graham is trying to threaten some kind of unspecified action if a normal trial process is followed should give anyone pause to wonder what his problem really is. Calling witnesses is not revolutionary. It's not a sacrilege in any sense of the word. IT'S NORMAL PROCEDURE for any kind of trial.

Graham is perhaps the most corrupt of all Senators. His actions are consistently suspect. He's full of hidden agendas. He's taking orders and he's ready for more.

Going after Kamala will be a double death blow for any Rethug.

Rethug when is comes to grasp of Law. Lady G knows he will be a beat down if he plans on going the Racist Birther Route,but,Lady G is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

7. Right Wing media is trying to narrow the focus of the Impeachment to that single speech.

The incitement was much more comprehensive than that one event.

This was planned weeks in advance, millions of dollars were spent by the Trump campaign and others to stage this, and they carefully monitored social media and other sources to gauge the intensity of the likely participants.

By focusing on the single speech of the President, which had a sprinkling of weasel words included to give it deniability, they want to dismiss the advance planning and financing of the violent insurrection.
