TRICKLE UP! - A relevant quote from Will Rogers

"The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellow's hands."

WILL ROGERS, 1932

TRICKLE UP!

That's the ticket.

Give money to the average American and the rich will also benefit.
Give money to the rich and the average American is left out in the cold.

That's the way the repukes think. That it's 'giving' poor people money, who will spend it in ways rich people disapprove of.

Instead we need to change the narrative: Pay working people what they earn, and everyone will benefit.

"Money is like ketchup --you got to spread it around."

It's called currency after all. A means of exchange, not an end to itself. Hoarding it is a disease, a sickness of the mind. A symptom of generations of want and deprivation. We have to move past that as a species.

The global economy suffers from "billionaire constipation".
