Most of us would think sending an armed mob to storm the Capitol specifically to stop the Vice President and Congress from doing their constitutional duty of ratifying an election would be "an assault on the constitution" just about as literally as an attack on the original copy in the National Archives.

But in their telling, the "attack on the Constitution" is anything against der Fuhrer.
