Ever have one of those nightmares where it's your time to talk and everybody's looking at you, but you haven't prepared anything?
Rachel Maddow MSNBC
I've had that nightmare a million times, but never once where the amount of time I had to tread water and ad lib and fail and flail was **four hours**.

(4,250 posts)hoping something will stick. And he keeps talking, and talking, and occasionally smiling (trying to be engaging). He's now swaying from side to side because he's boring himself.

(1,333 posts)the rocking back and forth, which finally made me have to take a break from Schoen. My mom used to do that when she felt socially very uncomfortable and self-conscious. I think it's a self-soothing thing.

(3,401 posts)case, they have done something I thought would be impossible, which is to put many republicans in shame.
So lets put our minds together and get that nice feeling that enough republicans will do the right thing and convict trump.
I know, I know, it is not easy, but we must keep our optimism alive, even Moscow Mitch understands the severity of trump's actions and the damage he has done and continue to do to the republican party and the country.

(296 posts)The first guy reminded me of being at a convention of some sort where the speaker at the podium, who obviously loves to hear himself talk, rambles on and on to the point where you get the urge to run to the crapper for the duration.
The second guy was just.....weird. With his strange quirks of flicking his tongue around every couple seconds and the really weird mannerisms when he took a drink of water, one hand hold brings the container to his lips, the other hand brings the lid to the top center of his head.....I had a hard time concentrating on anything he said. Once I saw the tongue and drinking quirks I couldn't unsee them. I gradually fell asleep to the barrage of bullshit he was spewing.

The man was the legal representative of Robert S and Jeffrey E - that's all anyone needs to know about how far 45 has fallen.

(1,945 posts)That attny is Jewish and normally wears a yarmulke, which would fall off if he were to tip his head back to drink. Comments said it was a reflex to do that even though he was not wearing one today.
