Manchin opposes Neera Tanden for OMB, says her past comments are too toxic.
"I have carefully reviewed Neera Tandens public statements and tweets that were personally directed towards my colleagues on both sides of the aisle from Senator Sanders to Senator McConnell and others"

"I believe her overtly partisan statements will have a toxic and detrimental impact on the important working relationship between members of Congress and the next director of the Office of Management and Budget."

He took heat from progressives for not backing the inclusion of the $15 minimum wage. His no on Tanden is probably meant to mollify

(59,592 posts)He alone among Democrats voted for Sessions as AG and for Mnuchin at Treasury.
He and one other Democrat voted for Pruitt for EPA.
He and two other Democrats voted for Tillerson at State.
So, yeah, fuck off, Joe.

(883 posts)He seems to champion republicans instead of being a democrat. Republicans didn't give a damn about being bipartisan now they are hollering. They all have said things about democrats yet he defends working with them. Has he done anything to put forward any bills that are aligned with Democratic Party?

(557 posts)of this man. Is it possible he is a plant because he votes for more with the Q party than with the D's. Get over yourself Joe and go back and review what you have passed with the Q party and than let me know which party you want to be.

(256 posts)She made comments in the past. No, they werent as toxic as MTGs comments but might be viewed as playing it both ways if WH insists. Move ontoo many more important fights ahead.

Pull a Jim Justice. I do think he puts forward republican agenda. He likes money and a few years ago his daughter was caught up in a big pharmaceutical scandal. Everyone mentions about democrats not being in WV. Robert Bryd was elected from there.
