The story is a great example of how well sci-fi does in the short story format. It uses the classic surprise ending like A Rose for Emily by Faulkner.

I am a old white guy who thinks AOC is great and I happily donated to her Act Blue link to help people in Texas. The contrast between what she and Beto did for Texans and what Cruz and Abbott did was huge. Hopefully, it will change some peoples votes in the future,
