(8,348 posts)For 15-20. The time to care for your family and employees was prior to planning and helping to lead an armed insurrection where people died including a cop.
Too fucking bad for your family and your employees, they should start getting used to you being away for a long time.

(182,904 posts)This guy is a hard ass. Marine infantry and at least one pro boxing match (he won). Forget the Oathkeepers they are charging, THIS is one of them you need to worry about. He busted through the window with what appears to have been a police shield meaning he took it from a cop.
Hes big shakes in the online Proud Boy community from what Ive read.
His lawyer states that someone else is already turning and naming names. He knows this is is his best- quickly disappearing chance to save SOME time or punishment.

(32,777 posts)Whether Pezzola actually goes to trial or not, the federal prosecutors need to make an example of this guy. If he gets a plea deal, it had better for a good reason. Like giving up somebody really high up.
He needs to get a conviction, and maybe a shorter sentence or something.

The deal was rejected; he ended in prison.
The federal prosecutors hunt big criminals. If they can get the president or a senator and one of more minions, they don't care if the informant deserves prison. And I feel the same. If they can get Trump, or Hawley, or Cruz -- that's a big win.

(14,494 posts)personalities have been held accountable for instigating this attack. And, their leader-in-chief was acquitted and is basking in the Florida sunshine.
This guy is about to lose his company and perhaps even his family in the long term, all for being brainwashed into a senseless cult. Dozens of others are facing similar consequences, yet we hear no outcry from the right for Republican pols to resign or for hard RW media to shutter their operations.
Life on the right's upper crust (maybe I should say bottomless pit) goes on unimpeded while their minions lose everything.
One of the most disgusting aspects of this entire shitshow is that the rally and riot was all for naught from the beginning. There was absolutely nothing they could have done to change our election's outcome.

Wearing a grey coat and an earpiece tucked behind his long hair, he was caught on camera breaking the window of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. at around 2:39 p.m. on January 6, 2021. That day, Donald Trump supporters breached the building while a joint session of Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Joe Bidens victory in the 2020 presidential election. During the riot, he was seen smoking a cigar and was photographed standing beside Jake Angeli and behind Doug Jensen while Aaron Mostofsky was among the rioters behind them. (c) (d)
Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Melissa Ammons filed a criminal complaint against him, which was assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia M. Faruqui on January 13, 2021. That day, he made an initial appearance via Zoom in U.S. District Court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian W. Payson. (c) (e)

(4,406 posts)I think I did read he'd only been with the Proud Boys for a few months but still seems like a Grade A asshole who should have known better given ex-Marine Corps service.
It's Joe Biggs and Ethan Nordean that I think were the ring leaders and need to rot in prison until they die. I don't think it would be the end of the world if Pezzola gets 5-10 in exchange for ratting out the organisers particularly if it links back to Roger Stone and the Trump Campaign.

(31,261 posts)If he can take down some biggies, I am ok with him relatively skating. I want to see Stone in prison for the rest of his miserable life. Pezzola will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life anyway, so he might as well do some good now.
