Too many people here on DU seem to forget the history.

It was republican senators who proposed him to Obama in the first place... and republicans senators who were ready to race to confirm him during the lame duck session if Clinton had won the presidency... while DU wanted to dump him in favor of a more progressive nominee in that event.

I suspect that there are dozens of them waiting to vote for him to show hire bipartisan they can be... when it’s really that they’re happy to not get a partisan firebrand in charge of the DOJ.

up the issue for a vote. This is where most of the power of the Senate(and House) leadership is in. The ability to decide which issues will be discussed and brought up for votes and which things wont be .
