For those who hadn't heard, Governor DeSantis ordered American and Florida flags lowered today (Wednesday, February 24) to honor Rush Limbaugh.
The governor has also taken an interest in who gets covid vaccine shots. The current priority list looks something like this:
Donors
"Grateful" Counties
.
.
.
Y'all
.
.
.
the rest of Manatee County

(7,608 posts)We buried my father without a filling in his mouth. I got my mom's teeth. The dentist is one thing I put on hiatus during the pandemic. I won't go in again until after I'm vaccinated. So far, the only way to get a shot in my area is to win the Publix lottery and I haven't been able to cash a ticket.
Happy birthday.

(7,608 posts)Limbaugh's widow made the announcement. I think DeSantis pounced on it for today because he knew that most flags would be at half-staff anyway for the covid victims. Somebody may have convinced him that this is not his best moment.
I don't know or care what happens to Limbaugh's body. While I would happily urinate on his grave, I don't think I could hold it long enough to get to the front of THAT line.
Is he really dead? Smells like it to me, but I've been wrong before...
