Think your state is bad with vaccines?

This is one of the headlines from the Boston Globe. They've revamped the state website so that when you try to schedule it sends you to a waiting room:

‘Your estimated wait time is 50,475 minutes’: State vaccine appointment site hits more snags.

Other than Some cheating at local levels. Steal 400 doses for Hillsdale College staff and employees. Ah well that's OK.

5. Sorry about that, the lack of any unified plan has made it hard.

I know that Mi. total of vaccinations is pretty good compared to some other states.

quarter of states. I'm guessing the roll out for vaccine shots has been very erratic. We will get ours eventually. It's frustrating that it seems so erratic, but given that the Democrats have only had a little over a month to start getting things working at all I'm grateful for whatever does work. I'm just very grateful that we aren't relying on trump or republicans for the life saving vaccines. Wouldn't be happening at all or very, very poorly.

Repubs want it based on age and some jobs, like the original CDC recommendation. Governor will veto, she want the rollout targeted toward groups defined by race, income, jobs (medical and education now, probably adding police, fire, grocery later).

I have no clue when or if my number will come up. I get no feedback after signing up with hospital systems and pharmacies.

got first shot last week, 2nd shot scheduled for mid March.

I'm glad I don't have to depend on the state efforts, though my senior apartment complex is advertising shots for residents now. Might have been more convenient, but I'm already on the VA schedule, so I pass on that.

How states manage the supply is the real question. But having perhaps twice as much vaccine to give out will solve a lot of issues...

Hopefully...

8. New York State did fine by us

My wife and I went on NYC's website, followed the directions and were given appointments in January for dose #1. Although we were supposed to schedule the second doses at that time, their computers were down, (big surprise-- not). After several days of frustration with the city's website, we were able to schedule the second doses in the "window" of 28-40 days for the Moderna vaccine. We got those shots on time.

While I know many others have been frustrated, we had no complaints.

I can't get an appointment anywhere.

But I did read that they're turning Circuit of the Americas
into a huge vax site to deliver 3,000 shots.

No way am I doing that.

I'm just waiting for a decent place close by to open up, or
preferably my local CVS or clinic.

But I did get very lucky and got an appointment through my City's website. It's separate from the state website. I'm still surprised I scored the appointment, I tried for a long while, sitting at my computer and refreshing every half hour or so.
