(58,785 posts)If it by some chance is, it'll turn out to be painless.
And of course these lines never went entirely out of style in many places of the world.
I actually think my husband would get a lot of wear out of this in our hot weather. Very comfortable looking.

(47,131 posts)She had no idea what kind of top to wear with them.
I had to pick out something for her and show her what the look is.

(3,338 posts)So, skinny jeans and side parts are out apparently. Skinny jeans have less fabric and are easier to wear than bell bottoms.

(47,131 posts)I'm going geesh, been there done that.
It was all totally new to her.
I had to pull the looks together for her as she was having trouble wrapping her head around all of it. She initially tried putting a tunic top with the bell bottoms and I said no, you need a skinny ribbed top that you tuck in. Actually looked fabulous on her.
My daughter is in the medical field and associated with a major hospital and university so she attends dinners and luncheons. She sent me pictures of her wearing her bell bottoms, top and a sweater jacket at some of these events.
I got a big kick out of that.
I am going to stick to leggings and tunic tops. As you point out, more comfortable.

(47,131 posts)Comfort was not the issue, looking fashionable and cute was the goal!
Now that I am older comfort is my goal!
My daughter is not a clothes horse, and she wears scrubs at work.
So every now and then I go clothes shopping with her and help her pull together some professional outfits for meetings and dinners. And some fun outfits for leisure outings with friends.
