the problem is we have promised it since 2018 so voters may eventually not believe us. You and I know it’s the GOP’s fault that minimum wage fails but voters will just see that we had the presidency and congress and didn’t get it done. I keep hoping Manchin and Sinema will see the light and get rid of the filibuster.

The message from the media will be that Democrats are in disarray and cannot lead. That we failed on our promises. People won’t vote rethugs because of that but they will stay home.

4. We lack the votes to get this through the Senate

We lack the votes in the Senate. On the Last Word s couple of nights agot, it was explained how that overriding the parliamentarian is meaningless unless you have the votes. If VP Harris overruled the Parliamentarian, McConnell would propose an amendment to strike the minimum wage and this vote would pass 52 to 48. We do not have the votes to pass this amendment right now in the real world

go on for another 2 years. Plus the government has to make up what the corporations are not paying their employees in food stamps snd i guess healthcare amongst other things. Make the corporations pay and support their employees for it all. Save the government money.

8. We CANNOT get the $15K MW now or we WOULD. Anyone who says differently

is LYING to you. Everything they claim we could do if we only would is a lie.

I suggest taking names trying to sucker those who trust them -- and remember them.

What's important is that it will be good for AMERICA. Of course. The good news is that there is one way -- every MW increase in the past -- has been forced into law by Democrats -- against against Republican opposition . Every one. Made to happen by Democrats.

That method that's worked when nothing else could was to attach it as a last-minute amendment to a bill the Republicans MUST pass. Someone on O'Donnell last night was explaining how he and others prowled congress constantly for a year looking for the opportunity, searching for the confluence of factors they could create one from.

OR, the electorate could give Democrats a supermajority in the senate in 2022, and we'd pass it right away then.

AND, for now, there's always the the bargaining table. Manchin said he'd back $11 right now.

is LYING to you. Everything they claim we could do if we only would is a lie.

I suggest taking names of those trying to play voters for suckers and putting a big fat line through them. It's not just filthy politics but cruel to tell people they could have double their wages but the Democrats won't allow it.

We'd already have done that if we could because it's good for AMERICA. Of course. The good news is that there is a way one way -- every MW increase in the past -- has been forced into law by Democrats -- against against Republican opposition .

Hopefully it'll take much less time this time.

OR, the electorate could give Democrats a supermajority in the senate in 2022, and we'd pass it right away then. Not likely, but the people will say.

But, there's the the bargaining table. Manchin suggested he'd back $11 right now. Don't know about Sinema.
