Cawthorn: Reports of my sexual misconduct are just about 'attacking a Republican'

The Republican congressman's defensive posturing doesn't make a lot of sense.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) claimed on Tuesday that recent reporting on sexual harassment and misconduct allegations against are really about the media and Democrats wanting to deflect from sexual harassment allegations against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Buzzfeed News recently reported that they spoke to more than two dozen witnesses who "described or corroborated instances of sexual harassment and misconduct on campus, in Cawthorn’s car, and at his house near campus" when Cawthorn was a student at Patrick Henry College in Virginia. Cawthorn has denied the allegations against him.

Appearing on the conservative Newsmax TV, Cawthorn replied "absolutely" when host Chris Salcedo asked if the story has surfaced to try to "give cover" to Cuomo, a Democrat.

We'll someone is lying or someone is trying to pull a Kavanaugh, and to top that off someone should be expelled from Congress for being a supporter to sedition..........take your pick there Cawthorn.............

2. Do an investigation

Cuomo is requesting an investigation be done. Cawthorne is just whining that it’s the Dems fault.

If he had any integrity he’d be demanding an investigation.

3. He's admitted assault

The Asheville Citizen Times has written about this extensively, and there is video of him admitting to assault. These are not new allegations ginned up to distract form Cuomo. He's not even close to in the same league as Cuomo.

He is, however, my representative. I want him out.

He says he never did anything sexually inappropriately. So he doesn't believe it's inappropriate to disregard a woman's No.

"Many girls in high school." He was homeschooled. He's a skeevy, lying, predator and grifter.

4. Another POS republican

I understand he also lied about the details of the accident that left him paralyzed.

He misleads and lies. His best friend was driving thecar that wrecked. Cawthorn claimed his best friend left him to die. His own father said that was untrue, that Bradley Ledford pulled Madison from the wreckage.

He wants people to think the paralysis cost him a spot at the US Naval Academy. It did not. The Naval Academy rejected him BEFORE his accident.

He claims to be one or two seconds off the world record for wheel chair sprints in the Paralympics, which is a flat lie. His college has no wheelchair athlete program, he's not registered in any Paralympic qualifying organization. In track events, even in wheelchairs, one or two seconds is laughable when gold medals are separated from silver by 1/100ths of a second.

His income is derived from an insurance settlement, to the tune of $3 million. He sued the insurance company for more. He's never worked, and lied about working for Edwards when he was our representative. Edwards and the local Henderson Co. sheriff and other powers that be already regret having elevated this empty suit. His real estate holding company PSQR owns one north Georgia property worth ~$30,000.

He dropped out of Patrick Henry College after one semester. He blames that on heartbreak because his fiancee dumped him. (a woman's fault--not the D average he was sporting). He was homeschooled, and has the handwriting of a 4th grader.

He "built his staff around comms not legislation." He's interested in attention whoring and hiding behind that wheelchair, heckling from the back row because he has zero education, and as far as I can tell, not a whole lot of intelligence.

He is a face they're using to catapult the propaganda. He hides behind that wheelchair. He's focused on the Big Lie and the Vatican and other states but seems to know nothing about NC or Western NC that he represents. He won't win another term, but he needs to be gone for his role in ginning up the insurrection.
