Can we stop using the term "Fox News"?

It is not a news organization. It is a RW propaganda tool. Why legitimize their claim to offer real news by including the word "news" in their name?

Sure, we can say "Faux News," but that will never catch on outside of left wing circles. I'd like to see new terminology that is accurate, not inflammatory, and not obviously partisan, just accurate, so it develops mainstream usage.

Just call it "Fox TV." It is accurate, but does not support the illusion that it is a news agency.

I'd like to see Fox TV become the widespread, common usage term in everyday speech.

Until they change that, people, including many DUers, are going to refer to Fox News, whether you approve of that or not. It's like General Motors. Now, you might think that GM Vehicles are crap, but you can't change the company name to Crap Motors.

You, of course, can call Fox News whatever you wish. That does not mean that everyone must adopt your renaming campaign.

Personally, I use the real names of corporate entities. My goal is avoid any possible confusion about my references.

I remember CNN being called the "Communist News Network" and the "Clinton News Network" by right-wingers, as well.

I'm in favor of using accurate names for things and organizations that have official names. I can write, "Fox News is not a reliable source of news, and is heavily biased toward the right." I often have done just that.

I prefer "The Propaganda Channel." But, that doesn't work as well now that The Chief Propagandist is no longer in office.
