Eddie Glaude Jr.

Whatever MSNBC is paying this guy it is way too much. He just spent five minutes explaining how the effort to promote voter suppression is an extension of the white supremacy movement. Boy I never would have dreamed that.

I understand his outrage but he's not very effective at making a point. Plus hard to forget how he tried to sabatoge Hillary's campaign

I supported Sanders also. Doesn't mean I didn't vote for Biden. I'm just not inclined to give up on anything until I absolutely have to.

I'm also glad that Biden is so far being much more progressive and not wasting time on republicon BS. But at the time, I still wanted Sanders, or Warren, because there was no way to know how Biden would govern. But when Biden got the nomination we still got behind him. I'm just glad it paid off.

of what the term "Democratic Socialism" represents, we should just give up and let fascism take over. I don't think so.

Fact is, the majority of the country DOES support the elements of Democratic Socialism. Like Obamacare, though, you just can't call it that. And apparently, no one should inform them.

Doesn't seem to be me who needs to "know" my country. Or catch up. I hope the rest of your day improves.

that Socialism doesn't play that well in America, yet they are too ideological to completely cover what their core belief is, so they keep "Socialism" in there. Or even go with "Social Democrats" as is the case in a lot of Western countries. It's very short sighted.

like in the Scandinavian countries, which are actually capitalist countries with robust safety nets for their people. And btw, there is a Democratic Socialist Party here (google it) which Bernie isn't a part of. Bernie should've called himself a social democrat with emphasis on the Nordic model if anything but he didn't. Now he's labeled as a socialist, and newsflash: If you haven't heard, socialism is toxic to millions of voters in America because three generations—the greatest generation, boomers and older GenXers were schooled in their formulative years that socialism, communism, the cold war, failed communist collectives, the iron curtain, Satlinist purges, Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Red China, fallout shelters, the Cuban missile crisis, fear of A-bombs being rained down upon us—they were raised with all of that being toxic and scary.

Many grew out of it, became nuanced, critical thinkers who know and appreciate the socialist elements in out society and now vote Democratic. But millions of others still believe all of the scary stuff and will never vote for a Democrat, much less a democratic socialist. And they are older voters who always vote. Which is why I said, know your country, which also includes Cuban Americans, and other Latinx voters staunchly opposed to socialism. Democratic socialism here is Quixotic at best, meaning it ain't gonna happen.

on you tube is why the guy makes me thoroughly ill. I gave him what for on twitter a couple of years ago about his anti Hillary stance. At that time he was trying to defend his stance, but myself and others on those threads were not having it. He ended up blocking us all.

there are indeed a large number of people in this country who actually do need to have that explained to them slowly and carefully, because they know nothing about voter suppression and not much more about white supremacists.

he is pretty shallow. It might have helped if he had spent his time discussing how to combat white supremacy in a 50/50 senate with the filibuster in tact.

don't need that explained at all. We're painfully aware already. But there are others who do need that. I hope it got through to them.

And whoever has the answer to the Senate combating white supremacists with the filibuster unchanged will be the hero of the century.

Bring back the "talking filibuster". Change the nature filibuster back to being the antiquated relic that it is. I think you might see senators being a little less eager to engage it v
