Southwest pilot on hot mic goes on expletive-laden rant against the Bay Area

In a hot mic incident recorded over the Mineta San Jose International Airport’s air traffic control scanner, an unidentified pilot was heard delivering an expletive-heavy rant, according to the travel site One Mile at a Time.

In the March 12 recording, the pilot says, “F—k this place, goddamn liberal f—ks.” He then continues, making several other curse-word-laden comments before being interrupted by what seems to be an air traffic controller.

The audio is archived online at Live ATC, a website that livestreams air traffic control audio transmissions. Though the audio is fuzzy and the context of the remarks unclear, the pilot can be heard repeatedly cursing.

“F—king weirdos, probably driving around in f—king Hyundais, f—king roads and s—t that go slow as f—k,” and, “You don’t have balls unless you’re f—king rolling coal, man, goddamn it.”

It's been explained a couple of times what a coal roller is. Experiencing one is really annoying.

A couple of years ago I encountered one. There is an intersection on my way into town where people turning off the circle highway around town have to merge into traffic on the road I take to town. I was driving my Prius and in a steady stream of traffic. This moron in a big truck tried to force his way in front of me or force me into the other line of traffic. I refused to give way since I had a right turn coming up shortly. He took offense.

He was headed straight when I got into the right turn I'd planned to take. He immediately cut in front of me, then starting polluting with his coal roller piece of shit truck. I just hung back to stay out of the black cloud he was emitting. He slowed down, so I slowed down until we were going about twenty miles an hour. Then I noticed his bumper sticker - "Yes, I AM compensating for something." That cracked me up. I think he saw me laughing at him and that pissed him off so he gunned his truck putting out more black smoke. Right about then was my turn off.

To get back the direction he had been traveling he had to go at least two miles out of his way - that section of road has a National Register plantation house with a good amount of property as part of the estate, so there are no cross roads to easily get back the way he had been going.

All so he could "own" a little old lady in a hybrid car. Fucking moron.

3. I was an airline pilot for 31 years.

It was my experience that over half of the pilots I shared a flight deck with were very politically conservative. Quite a few were as rabid as this asshole. This rant doesn't surprise me at all.
