that if you read that darcy's platform is more to the old democratic platform. And, I agree with everyone of his talking points. But, he is, apparently, a joke to some. Yeah, go our team-doesn't matter what they stand for.

I read hear that "oh, the democrats will never get it through the repugs" or "we had to give away the store so we could have just a little something." It is truly amazing that little boots and darth cheney basically told their congress they wouldn't be dealing with no democrats. It's amazing what they got passed, including a fabricated war, with some democrat's help.

Yes, single payer was never on the table, and a public option was really never there, it was just a shell for the plebes to believe. However, obama did meet with big pharma and the insurance industry, while doctors and nurses were arrested for having the temerity of being there to fight for single payer.

But, hey make a joke about the choices we have. If I vote for our interest, I'm helping a repug get into office-if I vote for the status quo, I'm still going down-little change, it just won't be one of those crazy repugs. What a dilemma.

the only real path to single payer, not some crippled public option, and one Senator - Joe Lieberman killed it, after promoting that option for most of his political life.

I was hoping for the pipe dream, since along with my hubby, most of those who are fifty or more in his company were laid off. I'm sure some of you know how hard it is to get a new job at fifty, especially, after working over twenty five years with one company.

Reid was talking to Nelson, and the scuttlebutt was he had a reasonable chance of winning him over. The attraction was that the scheme did not create a whole new Federal Government bureaucracy. The initial response of Private Insurers was that Medicare would represent unfair competition.

It came undone when the buy-in's historical champion, Lieberman, I think the words were 'ratted on the deal'. Reid was stunned.

Dennis Kucinich could see where a Medicare Buy-In would lead. As younger and more healthy people, were brought in over time, the average cost of public insurance would fall. The path to single payer could not be clearer.

Joe Lieberman will forever hold a special place in my heart.

After someone posted here Richardson's claims that Obama had screwed up the nomination of delegates for the Dem convention, I submitted a polite comment to his blog posting on this, linking to the New Hampshire Democratic Party website to show that Obama was following the Dem party procedure. It stayed in 'moderation' for a couple of days, and has now been rejected - but, in the mean time, he's happily let through birther comments saying Obama is not a natural born citizen.

Whatever Richardson's platform says, I can't see him as anything more than a right wing disruptor. A PUMA, perhaps.

He wanted to cause a little chaos, but even folks who are dissatisfied with the President, think he's a joke. I sure wish the poster who made such a big deal about Obama's failure to register properly in NH would come back and acknowledge that he mislead this community, but I doubt that'll happen.

I didn't think he would get above 10th place but his 9th place showing proved me wrong.

A tip of the hat to the DUers who kept up on this progressive alternative to the President and had a much better feel for his standing in NH.

I didn't expect to be assigned to an Admiral's desk in my first assignment.

The general idea, in politics and life, is to start at the bottom and work your way up. Expecting someone who does not possess a national profile (I have no idea who the fuck this person is) to do well in a national election, where some degree of name recognition is vital before one even begins, is just absurd.

We're not picking out a Christmas goose, we're picking a president.
