Sidney Powells Just Kidding Defense Is Seriously, Literally Nuts
When people enter into the political arena, invent crazy conspiracy theories, and stoke violence and sedition, millions of Americans do take them seriously.

When planning a trip through Florida, chances are that Tallahassee doesnt even enter the conversation.
At first glance, unless youre a dork like me who collects stamps from state capitol buildings, or a bright-eyed highschooler curious about Florida State University (one of the countrys top party schools), it doesnt seem like Tallahassee has much to offer. My younger sister, a recent FSU grad, certainly had me convinced as much after years of visits filled with football games, cheap brunches, and lunchboxesa heinously large pitcher with some ungodly combination of different alcohols.
But after many months of staying home in South Florida, itching for a drivable getaway, I made my way north to Tallahassee at the invitation of the states tourism board and with the promise of some socially distanced fun. What I found and will forever preach to any willing listener is a capital city thats underestimated in every way possible, from its outdoor adventures to its fine dining.
I should have known politicians and college students wouldnt make for the most accurate or flattering representation of a city, but alas, it took returning to Tallahassee with fresh eyes (and more adult supervision than my little sister) to really see that. My first indication started with checking into the new Hotel Indigo Tallahassee. Playing into the citys role as a former railroad hub, the train motif of this boutique hotel takes the typical industrial chic look and makes it even more stylish with its colorful modern touches and the added significance of Tallahassees railroad history. Its only a small part of the growing hotel landscape thats bringing non-cookie cutter properties to the area and hopefully more tourists as well.
While I can certainly appreciate a cozy place to lay my head at night, I was there for an adventure, so they promptly sent me to the Tallahassee Museuma place whose name does not do it justice. Set on 52 acres of natural wonders, this museum features hiking trails, historic farmstead buildings that recreate what North Florida life was like two centuries ago, and elevated boardwalks that allow you to safely admire the native animal exhibits below with freely roaming black bears, red foxes, wild turkeys, and more. But for my favorite, and perhaps most unique, part of the museum, you have to look up.

(13,631 posts)can imagine what the Q-Landers are being told to make believe. It was all true, they are being forced to say that because lefty judges are trying to railroad them. You can pretty much count on something close to that.

(34,117 posts)When you file papers in a civil court action, you are bound by rule 11.
FRCP 11(b)
(1) it is not being presented for any improper purpose, such as to harass, cause unnecessary delay, or needlessly increase the cost of litigation;
(2) the claims, defenses, and other legal contentions are warranted by existing law or by a nonfrivolous argument for extending, modifying, or reversing existing law or for establishing new law;
(3) the factual contentions have evidentiary support or, if specifically so identified, will likely have evidentiary support after a reasonable opportunity for further investigation or discovery; and
(4) the denials of factual contentions are warranted on the evidence or, if specifically so identified, are reasonably based on belief or a lack of information.
Her defense that no one reasonable person would take her factual assertions seriously directly contradicts her obligations as an attorney in a civil matter. (And, beyond court, there are professional ethics rules that make similar demands on her.)

(3,784 posts)...........didn't she just ADMIT that EVERY lawsuit she filed was frivolous? I think the Courts where she filed those might be kind of interested in an admission like that.
Contrary to the popular notion that attorneys just run around filing frivolous lawsuits left and right in a vain attempt to get paid on one of them, attorneys are actually under very stringent ethical standards and can be SANCTIONED for filing a frivolous claim. Sidney Powell just admitted in a Court document that she filed nearly 100 frivolous claims. Goodbye, law license.
Frankly, she should consider herself lucky if ALL that happens to her is she loses her license. When will people learn that whenever you take Trump's side, it ALWAYS ends badly for YOU?
