is perfect (whether calculated or spontaneous, doesn't matter) because even of you call him The Dotard or Cheetolini or Dolt45 then he gets a little ego boost of knowing that you're bothered by him enough to use a insulting nickname. "Former guy" and "other guy" are impersonal, dismissive, and trivializing. That will eat him up from the inside.
