Trump alums sign up with new Murkowski opponent

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has drawn a 2022 Republican opponent who’s signed on key Trumpworld figures to help guide her campaign.

Kelly Tshibaka, the state commissioner of administration, announced Monday that she would step down from her state job and challenge Murkowski, a vocal critic of Donald Trump whom the former president has vowed to oppose in next year’s midterm elections.

Tshibaka has tapped National Public Affairs, a consulting firm made up of Trump’s top 2020 campaign advisers, to help oversee her effort. Former Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, deputy campaign manager Justin Clark and battleground states director Nick Trainer, who relaunched the firm after the presidential election, will serve as Tshibaka’s senior advisers.

The candidate has also signed on Tim Murtaugh, who was communications director on Trump’s reelection effort, to serve as a senior communications adviser. Mary Ann Pruitt, an Alaska-based political consultant who was a senior figure on Murkowski’s successful 2016 reelection campaign, has abandoned the senator and is working for Tshibaka.

If Murkowski LOSES a primary, she CAN NOT run in the General as an Independent or 3rd Party.

So she switches parties (maybe to (I)) before the election or she MUST win the primary.

as an Independent, or write-in, I forget which. Democrats there were so put out by the Republican nominee that they backed Murkowski and she won another term to 2016, then won re-election as a Republican in 2016.

She won as a a write-in.

It won't happen again with a Trumpanzee on the ballot.

She will probably change to (I) in 2022 and avoid the primary, which she'd lose.

My guess is she figures out the best path. I truly wish that Democrats were consistently stronger there, but the state seems to be a magnet for the anti-social types that worship the modern Republican Party.

We can put these assholes in lockup with the right appointments, the Voting Rights Act etc etc.

Come on over now. Put this filibuster shit to rest. You lose the election maybe Biden has a special appointment for you to help Alaska. and maybe get rid of the asshole Trump is supporting.
