Last week, Ed Bastian, the chief executive of Delta, said he thought Georgias voting law had been improved, but on Wednesday he sounded a very different note.

(15,948 posts)They arent changing out of the kindness of their hearts but the bad PR. Id think more of them if they kept their rotten principles. Still wont fly with them but this? Repulsive.

(16,448 posts)Which is why I had no intentions of canceling an upcoming flight on Delta.
Id generally prefer corporations stay out of politics, though I concede our system is unfortunately
set up in such a way that encourages and rewards them for their involvement and influence.

I consider their stance empty at best. Until they prove their words with some action, forget it.

(66,460 posts)How many calls from private citizens vowing never to fly Delta again? How many companies vowing not to renew their travel contracts?
How many did it take before the Delta Board of Directors said: "Gracious! Did we do that?" - ?

(1,896 posts)Delta did not take a stand after a boycott crippled their industry. Delta took a stand, and corporations will follow, because they can see Democrats as powerful leaders with voters informed on issues that matter. We Democrats don't look strong now because the Republicans weakened, we have been stepping up to the plate, showing the voters and Republicans alike that we are not spineless jellyfish. It is because of our strengths that corporations such as Delta will no longer ignore us. Stay focused.

(16,448 posts)Although with our party that can be fleeting. AOC doesnt like Bidens infrastructure plan. We have conservative Dems signaling they arent on board with some of the things Biden wants to do. So its probably a bit premature to start chilling the champagne.
