(11,639 posts)But we need an infrastructure decade at least. Those fucking tax cuts were off set by deferred maintenance.

(2,690 posts)I recall seeing on MSNBC shortly after he threw his hat in the Presidential Primary ring. It may have been Morning Joe. Host and cohosts were firing questions at this whippersnapper about the economy, about foreign policy, about infrastructure, about equal rights, about everything but the Norwegian literary scene.
Pete responded calmly and knowledgeably to each question, in a level manner as a man in control of the interrogation (which is what it seemed like). I knew then that this man would make an excellent President. I still think he will if the country can get through the next 8 years of Fascist gnawing on our Constitution and rights as citizens.

(11,562 posts)Even though I knew he wouldn't win the nomination, I supported him, and switched to "The Current Guy" when Pete dropped out.
I was SO impressed that he would go to the trouble of learning a language that isn't that widespread in order to read the worh of a novelist he liked! Norway has a population of approximately that of Minnesota, so Norwegian is not that common, even in Scandanavia.
