Johnson and Johnson.
So happy.
She is in another state at school, living in an apartment with 4 other girls, 2 of which had COVID.
They are ALL now vaccinated! And so are many of their friends.
So happy! What a relief.
She went to a mass vaccination site run by the National Guard.
Thank you President Biden!

(24,065 posts)...delightful 26 yr old girlfriend of 3 years gets her first either tomorrow or Saturday. I share your joy.
My husband and I had already gotten ours (me a health care worker, and both of us over 65), and our older son, 31, volunteered at a mass vaccination event in Phoenix, registering people for their second doses. I really didn't like our younger son being the only one of us who was not immunized.

(25,908 posts)My 38 year old son is still waiting for his vaccine. It's honestly not a big deal in that he really stays isolated. He's in a PhD program in astronomy on the East Coast. Ever since his school shut down a year ago he's simply been able to stay home, do his research at home, buy groceries as needed. Heck, he probably sees far fewer people than I do.
I know he's a bit anxious, understandably, to get the vaccine. But it will happen.
Meanwhile, virtual hugs to your daughter!

(25,908 posts)I think he's feeling a bit frustrated, as I was a couple of weeks ago myself. But soon enough he'll get the vaccine. And, as I said, he's able to stay isolated, lucky him. That is simply not the same for everyone.
