Morning Joe that is. Just saw CNNs Briana Keilars first Roll the Tape about Fox. A real thing of beauty. I will be glued to her, not sneaking a peek at Joe hoping to see some outrage at the latest BS from GQP.

(8,922 posts)Haven't been watching for a while. I'll certainly turn her on opposite Morning Joe which I don't care much for anyway. She's the best on TV.

(8,739 posts)That the switch was coming. Great things happen here. I hate Joe but would flip from her to CNN just to catch headlines, (newest shooting) and just tolerated him. Switching back and forth from news???? over to AXS TV to cheer up with their Final 24 show😬. I will be with Briana now with no more squinty and the Meat Puppet.

(10,014 posts)I haven't watched news for a week due to warm, garden friendly, weather.
When I turned the tv on this morning, egotists Joe and Mika were blathering away with their equally blathering friends Eddie and Victoria.
I'll try Keller tomorrow.

(7,281 posts)I agree with your assessment, although I missed a lot of it because of time diffeence. So, I'm going to set up my dvr to record that slot.
Good Bye Joe, Me Gotta Go, Me O My O....
Quick question: Is this a new schedule for Brianna and her co-host?

(3,282 posts)that were grooming Berman and Keilar for primetime slots, but having them together on the morning show is probably just as good. cable news gets big ratings in the morning.

(32,638 posts)What I normally do is watch last night's Rachel & Lawrence shows, which I tape regularly on my DVR. If for some reason I can't do that, I might save Rachel and Lawrence and watch in early afternoon. By far they are my 2 favorite show hosts but I don't get many chances to see them at night. Often I'm watching a hockey game or baseball, sometimes a movie at night.
DVR is my friend. It allows me to go to bed earlier now that I'm old.

(8,739 posts)Do not have DVR......yet. But Racheal and Lawrence are welcome here, for first airing and many times I watch repeat a few hours after. I usually watch AM slots before my day to know if I should be armed out in the yard. Forget local Sinclair RW crap. CNN and MSNBC were whats left. Until the Stephanie Miller Show and Free Speech TV. Wireless headphones and smart phone. Yard work, hiking and Stephie.
Maybe my daughter will DVR me up for Fathers Day.

This is a happy change for me, and I won't mind at all if it bites Joe and Mika and NBCUniversal/Comcast Corp.

(11,563 posts)they are more or less pep talks for Democrats. The wrong people are seeing them. It was a great piece, but it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know or believe, except for some recent anecdotes I hadn't heard.
Great writing, well-delivered and produced, but how many minds did it actually change? Maybe the cumulative effect of dozens will have a real impact, but I have doubts.
Traildogbob
(8,739 posts)Pep talks for GQP is fine splattered all over RW radio, Fox, and the two newest propanganda lie factories.
I am all for some dem pep talk. Was anything in that segment a blatant lie like the daily 24/7 Fox sewer spewing? Dont like it.....tune out, freedom. I think its way past time to counter the shit spoon fed to weak brained, hate filled zombies waiting for Jesus to come save em from a scorched earth, created by them, to Gods precious creation. Not sure how hes gonna like that. Burn it down, then come take me to paradise, as if they will take care of that.
I will watch Briana and cheer her on as a much more intelligent person than ANY mouths on Fox.
What I saw, I have known as well, damn time to expose it to many more.
Ill have popcorn for breakfast along with Keller.
My choice. My Privilege for 8 years service to a country openly being destroyed by Murdock and his robots. A country I would not serve under GQP rule.

(11,563 posts)Be more vocal, more often. Be so completely factual that you can't be refudiated and the impact might be greater. "We" seldom need pep talks; "we" need results. They already have results, and in a big way. They are winning the propaganda war, as I see it.
Traildogbob
(8,739 posts)Their media army is massive and unconscionably pushing outright lies to divide and conquer our democracy. I am not an advocate of propaganda lies to battle propaganda lies. I want a media attack of facts and visual exposure to battle the RW evil media empire. The both sides Ho hum HAS to end. One side wants to destroy voting rights, the planet through deregulation, worships white supremacy, promotes extreme violence to achieve their end goal of power through oligarchy and putting idiots in seats for theater to to stir the hate and division to end democracy that so many have died to protect.
Thank you for being We. We really need to fight to take back the country. We are at a dangerous crossroads. Media is only one weapon in the battle. RW media lies need to be exposed and with the same vigor as they use. Cheers to you. Thank you for your response and thoughts.
