I live in the high desert of Southern California, a rural community with 2 to 10 acre lots not all of which are occupied and we have had a big problem with illegal pot farms showing up everywhere. One of the locals came up with the idea that if a lot of people were to start growing a dozen hemp plants on their property the pot would be worthless, we have very high winds and there is no way those plastic green houses can keep out the pollen. Better solutions through green living, now many people have their hemp plants and even the ones who don't have signs on their property that say "I proudly grow hemp".

(5,537 posts)Since the county doesn't allow commercial cannabis they come in and squat on property they don't own, our poor desert water table has had thefts of water go from 15,000 gallons a month to150,000. We are doing everything we can to get these trash operations shut down. Idiots think that making something legal means there are no rules.
