Disney has changed its policy on masks

I have been at Walt Disney World last week. I did not mind the masks and I saw the cast at WDW enforce the mask policy when people were wearing masks below their noses or were drinking while not being stationary

I got back last night and saw that Disney just changed its policy

2. Outdoor masks have known to be pointless for months

It’s a lot different than indoor masks, which the CDC said totally out of the sky blue weren’t necessary on Thursday.

About a week after epidemiologists interviewed by the NY Times stated a consensus that indoor masks would be needed for about another year, and four days after Fauci said we should be back to normal by next Mother’s Day. And the day after Walensky argued before the Senate that vaccinated people should wear masks indoors.

8. Yup, we have enough studies now to show outdoor transmission is a rarity

Vaccine data is shaping up to show that once one is fully vaccinated, this thing is no longer a threat. Also showing that transmission by someone who is fully vaccinated is extremely unlikely.

I know in a strange way letting go of masks feels like handing a victory to the right. But the data seems to support it.

Disney has gone above and beyond.

The difficulty will be tasking the employees to maintain the policy but with Disney there will be no shortage of signs.

Disney changed the policy the day after I left

I had no issue wearing a mask and most guests were complying with Disney rules

They have been verbally abused over the past year.

Mainly trying to enforce outdoor mask wearing when we have known for months outside spread is rare. Few complain about indoor masking.

Disney has and continues to do a good job. Just the last 3 days of the new rules has made the cast’s lives much better.

I have not seen a single person violate the mask policy in lines or one rides. One lady broke her strap on the blue disposable mask and a worker rushed to grab her another one.
