she didnt even answer the question
If she actually answered that she regrets what she said, and supports Joe Biden, but the fact that she couldnt say that speaks volumes
This is why Shontel Brown is the best candidate:

(23,099 posts)That would be my answer to supporting her as well.

(102,275 posts)She represents only herself and her own interests, IMHO. She has shown that repeatedly over the past several years--going after nearly all our Democratic leadership and living for the attention her often offensive comments create. Yes, Shontel Brown will serve you well in that District.

(10,147 posts)Joe Biden and the Democratic Party are disqualifying.
I'd eat a bowl of shit before I would vote for Nina Turner.

(31,823 posts)Unacceptable. Does she want the job to attack Democratic Party elected officials? Or to enact legislation that works for America?
I don't get her.
If she hates us so much - then why does she keep wanting to operate as one of us? She's not conservative or Trumpster - but at least the Conservatives RESPECT us (Trumpers not so much).
Can she at least show RESPECT for the man who beat the radical right wing fascists down?
Me.

(86,610 posts)Sadly she's been a rant machine for the last decade, nothing is acceptable to her.
She certainly took a switchblade to HRC

(58,785 posts)to defeat Trump's reelection. And she went off to try to resuscitate an attempt at a third party that could defeat Democrats.
To know what she really thinks but isn't saying to this district's Democratic voters, just look to some of her allies in the People's Party, like Nick Brana. They don't need to keep their irrational antagonism-fueled dishonesty about Democrats on a chain; it sells well in its little markets.
In 2016 they urged people to leave the Democratic Party after the primary, or at least to write in someone to make sure Hillary lost to Trump. We'll never know how many were influenced not to vote.
mentioned HRC in my post also, as it is still so vivid

instead of the Cons

(58,785 posts)claimed what Biden promised to do is like asking people to eat a half the bowl of shit put in front of them. It's only a half bowl, but it's still shit.
Of course, the only viable way to get elected is by running on the Democrat or Republican ballot, and given the district's strong liberal leanings we got to be it. Lucky us! In a better world, an option would be available worthy of that level of personal honesty and commitment to her attitudes.

(67,782 posts)....on the People's Party website and an email I received:
So obviously running as a Democrat was her second choice.
Edit: I think it's important to see the entire email from People's Party announcing Turner's candidacy, early December 2020:
It's official! Sen. Nina Turner is running for Congress. She's running for the seat vacated by Rep. Marcia Fudge, who Joe Biden has chosen as secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The People's Party isn't on the ballot in Ohio yet so she will have to run as a Democrat, but we can't think of anyone better to win that seat and bring a friend of the People's Party to Congress.
This week brings grim news from the nation's ocean scientists who reported that the Arctic is heating up at a rate double that of the global average and sea ice is melting rapidly.
We still have time to turn this around. Come onto our national call tonight at 8:30 pm Eastern time where climate scientist and MPP climate advisor Dr. Peter Kalmus will talk about the world's climate emergency and why the People's Party must succeed to help avert climate catastrophe in the next few years.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to fill his administration with corporate lobbyists and centrists from the Obama administration. On tap is General Lloyd Austin for Defense Secretary, who helped spearhead the 2003 invasion of Iraq and sits on the board of Raytheon, a major supplier of bombs, including to the U.S-Saudi air war in Yemen which has killed at least 100,000 civilians.
He will join Neera Tanden, Bernie Sanders' nemesis, who looks to be a shoo-in for director of the Office of Management and Budget despite her light financial resume. Tanden is a venomous opponent of popular proposals like Medicare for all and a Green New Deal and supports cuts in Social Security nd Medicare. As president of the corporatist "Center for American Progress," she famously punched an employee who questioned Hillary Clinton's support for the Iraq War and accepted millions of dollars in donations from "friendly" foreign regimes such as the United Arab Emirates.
Last week we officially registered the People's Party in Maine, our first state party! Maine has a special rule that requires early registration. Please donate as we prepare to register the Peoples Party in all 50 states and offer a progressive populist alternative to the corporate-funded Democratic and Republican parties in 2022 and 2024.
This is the woman who wants to defeat Shontel Brown and be elected to Marcia Fudge's seat in the House of Representatives.

(47,430 posts)That is quite an understatement. Meanwhile, her answer was just a bunch of prepared political talking points. She didn't answer the question.
Surely, there are other things she can do to make a difference. Not everyone has to run for office and she is a terrible, undisciplined candidate.
