The cyber attack that shutdown the Colonial pipeline causing a gas panic and stoking fears of gasoline shortages, didn’t actually shut down the pipeline. It impacted the billing system at the Colonial Pipeline Co., which shut it down because they were worried about how they’d collect payments.Yes, the fuel-carrying pipeline was shut down last week in order to prevent a company that is entrusted with what should be a public utility from enduring an accounting headache.

...most Categories changed from free to Prime customers to Rent or Buy. Old..old..old movies from as far back as the 1990s. Were $3.99 to rent. Many of them were movies I know we watched before for FREE. I thought it was maybe... it is Saturday night, date night, movie night, people won't mind paying $4 bucks.

Price changes without notification. Charging for old, old movies & series. Watching a series via one service & the next night it's no longer available & now you have to sign up for a different service, sometimes one that isn't free. NBC has a service that's free, for old shows, but damn, is it crap! Some nights that little loading circle appears every few minutes.

to get cable channels, now they are setting up monthly subscriptions for some content. Then they offer a premium sub for no advertisements, at least for the moment.

And On Demand channels will tease with the first episode of a series on a cable nonpremium channel, but you have to subscribe to the streaming channel for the series.

I have stopped watching almost anything on Cable or TV and streaming is an ethical decision for people to make on their own; but I won't subscribe to 10 different 'plans' at $14.99 a month to watch 3 or 4 things in that period.
