This is the same steaming crock of shit his old man used to spout.
Nobody is buying it, Gums.

(3,056 posts)I miss the "Sir" stories. Tru$$ia's yarns about so many tough guys from central casting crying big tears in front of and for Dear Leader. It was by far and away his best live comedy performance bit. I still double over in laughter just thinking about the level of absurdity.

(54,449 posts)I wrote this one, and my group, The Freedom Toast, did the sound track It was from our CD, "Sing Along With The Democrats"* from about 15 years ago. Don shortened the song to edit out obsolete lyrics (e.g. a line about Tom DeLay) We have some great musical mimics, especially our woman singer, who can do Petula Clark (Dumb Down) and Tammy Wynette (Stand With Your Man) with equal credibility.

He is incredibly prolific on his own. We hooked up 2 years ago, and have done maybe 15 joint videos, of which Strangers on the Right is one.

(54,449 posts)We made it back, and I have already been to Sprout City twice, Utrecht once, and have to run down to Spain Friday and Saturday. There is no rest for the weary. I not only have to make up for 5 weeks in America, I also have to haul ass to get everything done before we leave again for our REAL vacation in July. We had our younger daughter and her two girls over for the long weekend (yesterday was a holiday in Europe), so not much sleep, either. Never a dull moment.

(54,449 posts)The still shot was of Don Caron, our partner in Parody. He's an award-winning videographer, and does GREAT vocal imitations of Paul Simon (and Sam the Sham), as well brilliantly arranged a cappella numbers.
He is an incredibly prolific producer of political satire videos, and we hooked up 2 years ago for some joint projects. His gig is called The Parody Project. My own little group, The Freedom Toast was very active during the Cheney years, but did some self-mothballing for most of the Obama years. After the 2016 election (or imitation thereof), we got back together again to record some more stuff, but lacked a consistent videographer until we met Don. Anything that says "with The Freedom Toast" means I wrote it, and in many cases we did the sound track as well. Our musicians are all pro-quality, and our vocalists are are brilliant mimics. My brother guest-wrote "Dumb Down" and "Stand With Your Man," and our female vocalist superbly imitated both Petula Clark when we recorded them. I wrote all of the other Freedom Toast stuff. Recently, we hooked up with Cinebot videos, in the Atlanta area, like the rest of The Freedom Toast, so we've even done a few numbers entirely on our own (e.g. Slip Sliding Away, The Salad of Roger Stone, and His Pillow, and Don puts them up on his PP channel.
Strangers on the Right is from a set of CDs we put out during the Cheney years: Sing Along With The Democrats, and Sing Along With The Republicans. It is very scary to think how many of those 15 year old parody songs, of which "Strangers" is one, are still current. As you heard, our Sinatra soundalike nailed that one to perfection, and if you hear "In D.C.," another can do George Benson almost as well as the original. On the CDs, we had a Bush soundalike who sang "Home on the Range" as if he was doing a press conference. "Where seldom is heard....a three-syllable word...."
