IN Governor Holcomb visited Israel last week invited by Netanyahu - unannounced

Governor Eric Holcomb of Indiana was already in the air on the flight to the meeting before it was announced.
Reports say it was not in conjunction in any way with Anthony Blinken's trip.
It was paid for out of private funds raised for his last inauguration this year as Indiana Governor.

Weird timing. Weird invitation. Somewhat Weird guy to ask with all that's going on over there.
A statement seemed to have a cover of Israel and Indiana joint economic interests, but that was nebulous at best.

Any ideas ?

If I was writing a novel of foreign intrigue, I would posit the government of Israel used him to send a message back to the Republican Party here.
