DCCC Has Best Ever April Fundraising Monthit's hard to contend with the Democratic establishment because of how much corporate and Wall Street cash it brings in. Thats why we need a movement to transform the Democratic Party, and you to chip in to support our movement right now.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) said that it raised a whopping $12.2 million in April the most it has ever raised in the month of April. The DCCC raises these huge sums of money from special interests determined to undermine progress. So much of DCCC support goes to corporate Democrats who want to stop Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. We have to stop this cycle.
We need to keep Democrats in control of Congress, but we desperately need to elect more working-class progressives who will really fight for working people. We need to elect more Democrats who will take bold stands for economic, social, racial, and environmental justice.
Thats what weve done ever since we helped elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the 9 other Justice Democrats in Congress. Now we need to elect even more of them.
We do it with zero corporate PAC donations and a lot less money than the DCCC. If we can raise just a tiny fraction of what the DCCC raised last month, well be in a strong position to elect a wave of Justice Democrats to Congress who will fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and so much more.

Who's our 'Establishment' President again?
Who's our VP again?
Who holds the House & Senate again?
Who is AG Merrick Garland, again?
We'd be s.o.l. without the Democratic Party.
Thanks Democrats!
Then of course the same group blew up the Democracy with that same bs mantra in 2016.
It was the Democrats, establishment & donors & years-long dedicated base who pulled America back from the brink.
I have yet to see the Left Tea Partyesqe do much about anything besides target the Party that clawed America back from total annhilation.
Who the fk are these whiners!
Side by side, they've spent more time damning the Democratic Party than the Republicans.

(25,618 posts)I saw a tweet about how Justice Democrats types thought a grassroots populist backlash like the Tea Party was a good approach for them to transform the Democratic Party. But the Tea Party wasn't grassroots! I thought everybody knew that. When asked about it in a 2018 interview, AOC said, "Yeah! And like it or not, that movement was grassroots, it really was."
"Grassroots" has a different meaning now, too.

(58,785 posts)raise Big Money. From Wall Street to Justice Democrats, it enables special interest groups to buy influence far beyond their actual numbers.
If only their first goal, upon which all other goals depend, didn't always have to be defeat of the liberal mainstream -- whose ideals and goals they profess to share. But that bizarre reality is defining.
Budi
(15,325 posts)Is that why they only ask for $27 or $3?
What is the donor limit that the FEC doesn't ask for an itemized accounting?
So a big PAC (or 4 Big PACS), corporate, or foreign entity can submit multiple small $ donations & not be accounted for?
Wasn't there a RW group that got caught doing this same thing with foreign money?
Can't recall the details of that matter.
Think it came about in tRump's 2020 run.
So much for "We don't take money from Big Donors". 🙄

That's only 1.2% of their expenditures! That's a lot of money collected with very little to show for it.
They've given more to:
Way to Lead PAC $164,000 (which is a Super PAC!)
Sunrise PAC $130,000
Working Families Party $210,000

(7,509 posts)I think a good definition of what constitutes a "right-wing Democrat" are those whose legislative records are so far to the right that they are out of step with the mainstream of the Democratic Party.
For example, March's vote on the minimum wage increase featured seven Democratic senators who chose to be on the right of Mark Kelly(?!) the issue: Jon Tester, Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, Chris Coons, Tom Carper, as well as perennial favorites Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. Angus King also voted against it.
Remarkably, only two House DemocratsJared Golden and Kurt Schradervoted against the minimum wage hike. That's how radical these rightwing Democrats are.

(67,782 posts)Another desperate plea, replete with the Democratic Party bashing they usually use, for money and using the bogus "end of the month" scam, like getting "1.1%" more by 11:59 PM tonight will be worht any more than 12:01 AM tomorrow. (bold highlight is mine) Sad we have to deal with republicans AND groups like this! They don't even do it in the name of any specific candidate, and as we've learned over the last few years precious little of their contributions actually go to Democratic candidates.
Hey George, we know its a holiday weekend, but we really needed to reach out to you again one more time before the month is out.
Yesterday, we let you know that the DCCC raised a whopping $12.2 in April, pulling in big checks from corporate PACs and Wall Street.
If we raise just 1.1% of that in May (before midnight), well stay on track towards defeating the special interests trying to stop progressive legislation like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. Can you chip in $3 before midnight?
Thanks so much for whatever you can contribute,

(58,785 posts)After all, during the Great Depression their sorts believed "the people" would support revolution, as was happening in other nations. Instead, Americans in large numbers supported the Democratic Party and our New Deal, and the long period of wellbeing that ushered in killed all chance for their dreams for the next 80-90 years.
Today's cohort of course believes their time came again, but as before the Democratic Party threatens to make people much too happy and secure to turn to fringe movements. Through deceits as massive as the RW's, they managed to stave off disaster in 2016 by convincing enough worried people that Hillary and the Democratic Party were as corrupt as Republicans, no choice at all.
Now, once again stupid majorities chose the Democratic Party (what is WRONG with us! ), and our actions are not just exposing all their deceits for what they are but threatening their dreams for hopefully the rest of their lives. Unfortunate for them, but that's the way it needs to be.
Itm, expect waves of lies. It's all they have.

I sometimes contribute to the DCCC, though more often to individual Congresspeople I either know, or at least follow and approve of. Im not a corporation. If I dont support a group that arrogantly calls itself the Justice Democrats, as if any other Democrats I support are for injustice, well, we will have to disagree on just what justice means to each of us. Plus, did it ever dawn on Just Us Democrats that the people of IL-07 are not interested in "transformational change" (WTF is that anyway?)?
I hope Just Us Democrats did their homework and saw that Danny Davis has been primaried every two years. In his last three primaries he won by 60-13, 74-26, and 81-19.
