The answer is: Get vaccinated. You will not be able to tell who has or has not been vaccinated, so protect yourself and get others to protect themselves, as well.

Once the masks come off, there is no way to know. Here in Minnesota, the mandate was removed some time ago. Now, I'm not seeing masks pretty much anywhere I go. I'm still masking, though, despite being fully vaccinated. I realize that I don't need to, but I'm doing it as an example for others. That won't work, but it makes me feel better.

5. I don't think it's safe so I still wear a mask, but I'm immune compromised

It's awful to go to the grocery store now and see people coughing and not wearing masks. In my county, 15% percent of new cases are people who were fully and partially vaccinated (10% fully vaccinated). And a lot of these maskless yahoos are anti-vaxxers.

6. You won't. Just assume you are in the midst of unmasked people infected with the Delta variant

and act accordingly.

Ohio is only 40% vaccinated. Stores have been 90% or more mask-free. Pretty sure I'm not just hitting stores where only the vaccinated shop. Also pretty sure that most of those wearing masks are actually vaccinated.

So - for me, that means continuing to wear my mask indoors - unless I know the vaccination status of the others present.

Still pissed that we are lifting mask restrictions when 15% of the population is not yet even eligible to be vaccinated. It is our obligation to protect them - and we are failing miserably. Unless governents are willing to actively confirm about vaccination status and enforce mask wearing selectively (against the unvaccinated population), they should keep them in place universally until vaccines are universally available.
