I was reading earlier that their 75th wedding Anniversary is coming up on July 7.
I haven't seen anything about them since President Biden paid them a visit.

(3,629 posts)Mind I have a seething cauldron of hatred for Ronald Reagan in my heart comparable to the entire core of the Earth, but Nancy was true enough to him to pretty much sever her relationship with the Republican Party over their opposition to stem cell research, because it was one of the few things that might possibly have saved her husband. I do have to respect that.

(549 posts)he was concentrating on overturning the election. Any number of dead bodies wouldn't have mattered.
When Carter was down to his last days, he concentrated on getting the hostages out of Iran. Something that wouldn't benefit him personally a whit. He only did it because it was the right thing to do.

(16,244 posts)After their term, they both picked up hammers n helped take make a difference in others lives. They are still at it in their mid 90s. What inspiration! MF 45 cant stfu about him n his perceived unfair treatment even tho he tried harder than an president to steer us into the abyss. Prez Carter was not a professional politician. He was n is a decent human being who got broadsided by a slick political opponent.
