if the Rs don't completely destroy voting rights. I read Marc Elias is going to work on our laws and with Chris Jones as candidate, we have a chance and he will pull lots of down ticket candidates along with him. Of course, this is all dependent on how suppressed the election is.

Unfortunately I don't think Democrats understand the fundamental difference between Democrat and Republican psychology in supporting a candidate at ground level.

Democrats vote for candidates like Mr. Jones because they want to be proud of their state and get the best policies.

Your average Republican voter looks at a guy like Mr. Jones and see a reminder of how much they have f**ked up their life. Bad job, ruined marriages, can't pay the bills and then this super performer runs reminding them what losers they are. Like the average Confederate soldier who got no benefit from slavery but could not bear the possibility that there would be free blacks doing better than they.

They will see a guy who has better book leaning, better religious habits and a better educated wife and kids.

Yesterday I needed to borrow a tool and there was a worker who has been working on the house across the street that I had talked with before the inauguration. He looked beat down, only had a few teeth left but was friendly. We live in a deeply blue neighborhood and didn't want him to lose work so I didn't respond to his worry about Biden taking over.

Yesterday I asked him if he had the wrench I needed and he cheerfully came over and helped for a minute. I wondered how he could eat food with so few teeth.

I looked at his license plate on his truck and it was Arkansas. I could see him voting for Clinton because he was a rascal and could se himself at the same or even higher moral level as Bill. I am afraid when he looks at Jones he will see someone who has succeeded 100 times better in 100 different ways than he did and will believe any hair brained rumor rather than vote for him.

Towards democrats for several cycles though, Arkansas is going in the wrong direction. Republicans are winning statewide races by 30 points routinely.

Demographics are better in Georgia too. Arkansas is about 1/5 black while Georgia is closer to 1/3. Non-hispanic whites in Arkansas are 2/3 while in Georgia they are just over 1/2.

Winning Arkansas wouldn't be like winning Georgia. It would be more like Doug Jones winning Alabama. It would take a big scandal to give him a good shot at it.

For Arkansas sake I hope he can climb that mountain because SHS is going to be awful for the state.

She has zero accomplishments, he is at the pinnacle of his profession, he has been successful in both his professional and family life, has a strong set of values and can not be criticized for an outsider, his family has deep roots in Arkansas. I hope Bill Clinton endorses him and he gets noticed.

is that she spent two years lying for Donald Trump to run their state, let alone over this gentleman. But, we're talking Arkansas. They may have elected Bill Clinton to that job, but they've gotten progressively nuttier since then. Reverend Jones is miles above Sarah Honey Boo Boo in every way, shape and form. You have an intelligent, accomplished, articulate, and seemingly good person of color running against a product of nepotism, who lies freely and easily, like her father, and yet this will likely be a very tough race. That is the sad state of affairs in the United States.

a nuclear engineer and minister, and apparently a genuine liberal or at least enlightened other, a combination that covers a few bases, if not the hugely varied and fluid practical issues of administering a state government. Presumably others are holding off while newcomers try to establish name recognition, but nevertheless more promising than a couple of nonliberal others and good to see.

Trump won by 15%.

Cotton won by 33%.

I'll be putting my money into necessary races that are winnable.

But I'm in the "it's not over before it's even begun, and not until it's over-over either," school. I wasn't even in stable times and much less so in crazy ones.

Repub neofascists aren't the only ones trying desperately to harness the whirlwind.

...and, he looks like a hell of a candidate.

If he can't beat the Lazy Eyed Liar, I don't know who could.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has had her 15 minutes on the stage. She doesn't deserve one second more.

My roots are in Arkansas, however, I've never wanted to live there. If this man wins, I just might consider it. Wow! He is impressive. Sarah has no chance debating him. None.

that man looks like one, freakin', outstanding human being. Arkansas is blessed to have him as a resident. They'll be even more blessed to have him as their governor. I know where some of our political donation money is going.

122. Best Ad Ever? An informative couple of minutes.

This was an amazing campaign spot. A ton of information, a great story and probably one of the best campaign ads I'd ever seen.
This has to be shared on media critique websites... this is how it's done and done right. A 2.5 minute ad is a long one, but each second if complete and interesting.

Phd's should be required of all governors, senators, congressperson and yes, even presidents. I like the smart ones.
America does too.
