The Trump Administration was a criminal enterprise.
Perhaps, at first, many Republicans did not know it was a criminal operation? But, they all had to suspect something when he continued doing business out of the White House with total disregard for the emoluments clause of our Constitution.
Eventually, they all knew. And they chose to be part of the enterprise. They have all become criminals. Lying and cheating are the least of their sins.
The purpose of the public trough is to steal from it. Government is nothing to be respected by these folks. It is there for private use.
The crime wave of the last 4 years was unlike anything we have ever seen. We discover something new every day. Those that disregard the crimes are undeserving of any sympathy, and certainly undeserving of anyone's vote.

The only thing you can't take is actual money, or items of value. Problem is 'dirt on your opponent' has no definable $ value, ergo, does not run afoul of election laws which are based on definable value. Similarly, the support of bot farms propping you up on Social Media is of nebulous $ value.
There's no laws saying your campaign chair can't share data with a foreign country either.
So, yes, you CAN legally take various forms of help from foreign governments, and even solicit it.
