Anyone notice that the Republican push to break up Big Tech media companies has dissipated?

Washington Monthly has an article this month detailing how the Big Business oligarchs dispatched their Think Tanks, their PACs, and most importantly their lobbyists to squelch this activity.

It seems the money behind the GOP is concerned that this faux "populism" could be turned against their own monopolistic business interests.

The Republicans always dance to the fiddler's tune.

The Big Tech billionaires of today have their own space agencies. Contrast that with the billionaires of yesteryear which merely had superyachts. It's not all about space tourism, you can rest assured there has been some work on "rods from god" technology. Republicans know this. So it's prudent not to annoy them at this point.
