So far its not bad. I'm keeping an eye on the "Lava fire" down by Shasta. Caused by lightening, not lava. I have a sister down that way. They haven't gotten any evacuation order, but evacuations have started some places. Its about 2000 aces right now. Its going to be a really bad fire year.

This fire season is going to be BAD. This winter was bone dry. We are so fucked.
(I'm in the Bay Area, not anywhere near this fire. But even fires 100-200 miles away can create apocalyptic stagnant smoke situations for a week or more for communities not directly threatened by the flames).

(10,156 posts)I thought for sure the western coast states would ban them all from being sold. They did that in Texas in 2011 during the worst drought we had in decades. It was bad bad bad.

A baby, a PG mom, two other children, a boat, a dog, and the dad.
It's terrifying to me.
