although the places where they're most needed right have never had them, the places where it might be politically the easiest to put them back in place are the places with the highest vax rates, but some are only issuing recommendations that might not make any difference

Currently masks for the vaccinated are unnecessary.

Essentially they DID in reality, real world effect, remove the recommendation.

(102,276 posts)trying to enforce the mandates (many fatal) have we had? Many areas had reached a boiling point.
Still, I agree with WHO. With the much more transmissible variants spreading and inadequate vaccination levels, I still mask indoors and will for the indefinite future.
