Wouldn't the Former Office Occupant have to testify at his organization's trial?

And at that point, he’d either have to:

1. Plead the fifth (not a great look)

2. Testify, and almost certainly perjure himself given that he’s pathologically incapable of telling the truth

Kobayashi Maru.

…… my guess is that he’s not needed in person. His lawyers will be doing most of the talking.

...he would have to appear to testify, even if it is just to plead the Fifth.

He's not indicted. Had he been indicted, he could elect not to testify.

So currently he seems to be in a worse off position at the moment in terms of his testimony.

I can't see why he wouldn't have relevant facts which prosecutors would probably want to ask him about.

Both sides know he's going to lie, and that will just muck things up. Which, come to think of it, might be what the defense wants.

Notwithstanding the "entertainment" value of watching this buffoon attempt to testify, I gotta believe the prosecution has all the documentation they need to make their case.

Can you just see it, though? Weisselberg? Looks vaguely familiar. He got coffee for me a couple of times. I never told Weisselberg, who I barely know anyway, to do anything illegal. In fact, I'm going to be filing a civil suit for his thefts. If we can even find him to serve papers, since I don't know where he lives. Oh, he lives in Trump Tower, you say? Never heard of it.

Trump testifying before a jury at trial has both its pros and cons. (Pardon the pun.)

I’m talking about his capacity as a relevant fact witness, not as a Defendant or as a Corporate Representative designated by the Defense.

A Defendant corporation can designate whoever it wants as its corporate representative, but it doesn't preclude any officers or employees from being called to testify as fact witnesses.
