Different type of OP from me. Feeling a little bummed and trying a post about the few positive memories from my childhood. So, that said...
Saturday morning cartoons.
Yes, you can watch all you want now but nothing replaces that joy of waking up early on Saturday morning and watching your favorite cartoons.
What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoons?
For me it was Space Ghost/Herculoids/Dino boy
Johnny Quest and Thundarr the Barbarian
Scooby-Doo
The Blue Flower
(5,447 posts)Saturday morning cartoons are on now again in Richmond, VA. Also an hour of cartoons every weekday. I watch them before I turn on the news.

(25,988 posts)Same here. I adore Looney Tunes. I also loved Roadrunner and Pink Panther/The Ant and the Aardvark. I remember watching Underdog and Rocky and Bullwinkle as well. (Showing my age, hee!) You can watch these any time now, but it was special when they were shown on one day of the week, every week for three or four solid hours at a go. The only other time that's come close is when Cartoon Network used to air an amazing marathon called June Bugs every year. They've stopped doing it, alas.

It was great to watch toons on Saturday mornings! One of my fonder memories of my youth.
Jedi Guy
(3,271 posts)Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gargoyles, Animaniacs, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats...
Back in the day when my biggest concern in life was which video game I wanted to buy next, or where my friends and I were going to go play on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I remember when I was a kid I couldn't wait to grow up. If I heard a kid say that now, my response would be, "Slow down, kiddo."
Because being an adult sucks most of the time.
