A friend lives near the 405 & El Segundo Blvd. They have an annual July 4th party. It's non-stop fireworks all around their neighborhood and beyond.

But it was still miles better than last year or any other year in the last 15.

Just this morning my SIL and I were commenting that there haven't been as many "practice" fireworks going off in the days leading up to the holiday as in previous years. Almost none, in fact. And this place is a fucking war zone on the 4th. (Whittier, CA)
