I am no longer sure. Is it "the new normal" for the losing side to vote against certifying the results ??
And if there is any question about the election, from our point of view, then I guess we certainly should vote against certifying it...?
Personally, I think there should have been more push-back by Democrats in 2004 (regarding Ohio), and certainly in 2000...
We have been just too darned "nice" and "civil". The Republicans in congress who voted against certifying the 2020 election, and voted against a Jan 6th investigation, have given us permission to do the same against them in the future...
Especially if they attempt to overturn a presidential election by "setting aside" votes in the states, to appoint their own electors---
IMHO, there is no limit to the pushback that should be made in such an instance.
And I mean, NO limit whatsoever. Morally, the "self-defence" principles come into play in such an instance, IMHO.
