White men--even Republican ones--are starting to sour on Trump

White men—even Republican ones—are starting to sour on Trump

"SNIP......

Don't tell the Republican Party, but Donald Trump isn't exactly killing it with one of his most loyal demographics: white men.

Trump's biggest blow, according to Civiqs tracking, has come from white male independents, where his favorables have dropped a solid 10 points since a post-Election Day high of 53% in mid-November. Now Trump is 6 points underwater with the demographic, 43% - 49%.

....

But Trump's favorable rating over the past several months also shows him losing steam even faster with white GOP men than with white GOP women. Among white male Republicans, Trump's favorables have dropped 6 points since Election Day, 91% to 85%, while he only slipped 3 points among white Republican women, 92% to 89%. Here’s the male side of that equation:

.....

That also means Trump is now doing nearly a handful of points better with conservative white women than with conservative white men.

it should be a probe - you know, like a Congressional one - made up of elected government officials that truly chose to honor the oath of their office - not just obey their party's wishes.........

8. This is the Republican leadership's worst fear. And they saw if coming. But refused to stop it.

By 2024 the evangelical base and racist will be willing to die for him. And some will. But no one else.

The independents hate him. My few republican friends hate him and one has left he party. He is now independent but I have hopes he will become a democrat. We took he and his wife to Europe a few years ago. Opened his eyes. He now is in favor of a universal healthcare system.

His rallies are become a joke that Americans are tired of. We need solutions and Joe is trying to give them to us.

If we make him the face of their party we can hold our own in 22 despite history. Yeah, voting restrictions are bad. But African Americans were willing to die to vote in 1920. Stacy Adams is showing southern states the way to gain power. And limitations of mail in votes hurt republicans as well.

I expected the white resistance to a no racial majority country later in my life. I knew it would come. It’s earlier than I expected. But it’s here now. That and the fact most young folks are not religious is driving most of this. Racism and religious bigotry. That all the republicans have.
