2. The plan is to drop the remaining structure straight down.

If it goes right, it won’t fall on the debris pile of the collapsed structure. Once it is down, the search for the victims will resume.

The risk of leaving the ruins standing is too great, especially for the searchers.

Once the structure is demolished, the remnants will be removed immediately with the intent of giving rescuers access for the first time to parts of the garage area that are a focus of interest, Jadallah said. That could give a clearer picture of voids that may exist in the rubble and could possibly harbor survivors.

...so that if doesn't unexpectedly collapse on searchers and investigators.

I expect that means an implosion demolition, where they have it fall in on itself, not onto the collapse debris.

6. The Structure That They Are Planning To Bring Down Are Condo's....

The people that lived in those Condo's have vacated them - but did they have time to collect their belongings before they had to vacate? Or where they shuttled out without being able to save their stuff?

Where are those people being housed now? How will they be treated after their building is gone?

however I'm assuming that's temporary. I cannot imagine having a pet in there and all my possessions.

Do they still have to pay rent or mortgage?
