I live just west of Richmond, VA. Walking the dog around the neighborhood, I was surprised to find only one house with the flag displayed this weekend. Could it be because people now associate it with anti-American craziness?

(32,057 posts)Have a flag on their house all the time. Wind, rain, snow, dark of night. They never take it down. Im not sure if this is proper.
We do put one up for appropriate holidays but we take it down at the end of the day. It was the flag my late Father in law flew at his house. He was a WW2 veteran.

Great post.

(13,193 posts)Republicans have fouled the flag. Every Republican needs to be voted out of every office. Then fly the flag everywhere. Right now, it is being displayed by Republican moral and patriotic failures, not just good Americans.

I love seeing it as it waves in the breeze. We actually have quite a few flags flying in our neighborhood. I have no idea if those people are Republicans or Democrats.

We are actually looking into a flagpole for the front yard instead of the current holder on a porch column.
The flag belongs to all of us, nit just right wingers.
Coincidentally, right below our flag are two yard signs, like these:
