Now that the Fourth is behind us, can the "media" stop haranguing Biden for lack of 70% vaccination?

What was he supposed to have done? Grab them by the neck - one by one - and deliver them to burly men who would hold them and inject them, the way we see in suspense movies?

1. Fox: Biden fails in his vaccination goal!they deliberately didn't get vaccinated just to get that

Headline. So you got a “Biden fails”headline, you can go ahead and get vaccinated now, morons. They are having such a hard time getting a negative story going about Biden. Joe is such a damn nice guy

And as a leader he'll take the heat for a bit and continue to try to get people vaccinated

He'll reach the goal just not by that arbitrary number

I hear what you're saying, but Biden delivered the leadership. The vax evaders didn't deliver the followership. They are the ones who are in the wrong.

We make a mistake when we absolve those whose responsibility it is to follow good leadership for their failure to do so. Leadership is not a one-way street. Adults are adults. It's their responsibility to do right things when called upon.

Can one person be right in asking for cooperation for a good cause and multitudes be wrong for not cooperating? Of course. And if we let them off the hook, we're also in the wrong.

14. A bunch of those who didn't do their part for the team will know the loss is their fault.

So the "close loss" may be even better for the vaccination rate than a win would have been. All of the people who had access to vaccination and didn't get vaccinated will blame themselves (or give themselves credit in the case of the most spite-minded Republicans). But it's a team loss (human team) and it's the vax lax folks' fault. They let down their team or knowingly sabotaged it, and that can't be a good feeling for them. Maybe that will motivate them to do better.

They way I see it, it wasn't "Biden's Goal". It was "Our Goal" as a nation. We are the ones who failed. The availability was there, Biden held up his corner of the coffin.

5. I don't have a problem with their pointing out that he/we didn't meet it.

I wish more would point out that 67% have received at least one dose, but no one actually thinks not meeting 70% is the president's fault. I'm probably not the only one to wonder some may have delayed for partisan reasons because he set that national goal, but oh well. In any case, that's their fault and no one else's.

Btw, we're currently averaging roughly 1 million doses per day. At that rate we'll reach that interim goal within the week. We need much more. Whatever, though, no doubt the new variants will light a fire under more asses than they kill.

He set a goal for the country that has been met by some states, that's what I hear and read in the media. No haranguing that I've seen, simply facts. And onward we go.

now and then to see what they're saying, nothing to do with facts there of course.

And onward we go.

6. Dying by C-19 is a choice made by idiots who are being fed misinformation by the GOP/Fox
Mon Jul 5, 2021, 01:36 PM

99.2 % of all C-19 deaths* in America are people who would not get vaccinated. The GOP/Fox (one in the same)
would rather see people get sick and die rather then Joe Biden getting a victory. They should get crushed in 2022
and 2024 for this alone. Make 'em own it.

I love Kate Brown. She's been an amazing and I will miss her when her time is done. I wish red rural Oregonians could realize how much Kate has helped them, protected them and cares about them. Kate has brought our state through tough times and I am so very grateful to her and her staff.

Could have said, "we have a goal of getting as many people vaccinated as possible in the shortest possible time. My administration is dedicated to keeping the public safe."
