That used to be the margin of error in our stats classes.
Yes he aimed for 70% having at least one dose. 67% is stunning in and of itself.
Thanks M$Greedia for telling me every fucking hour for the last three days.
He came very close you fucking ingrates. Go and talk to the ReTHUGs who refuse to get their vaccines and then go fuck yourselves.
That is all.

(945 posts)...to the wonderful thread starter, but I have been shaking my head the past few days with the "Biden fell short" headlines. In actuality, America fell short. Because of the current polarized environment, it's easy to make things political; however, COVID is a communicable disease.
Needless to say, I want the staunchest racist to get vaccinated because that's one less person that can infect us all. Again, America has fallen short - not "just" Biden.

(12,165 posts)are that unvaccinated people a) pass along the virus to other unvaccinated people, thus exponentially increasing the spread and b) become factories for variants, which can be more deadly and may at some point overcome vaccine protection.

(25,816 posts)to be vaccinated? Absolutely anyone in the country who wants a vaccination can have one.
If you live way out in the country, people will come to you, or give you a ride to a clinic.
So if you are unvaccinated it is by choice. Should insurance pay for that?
orleans
(34,073 posts)but i take it one step further--those without insurance and i'm sure there are plenty of trump supporters who are on public aid. so who pays for their political stance then when they land themselves in the hospital because they refused to get the vaccine?

(16,498 posts)But even if the total was less than that, I would object to all the stories that start with the words "Biden fell short," simply because BIDEN didn't fall short! It's all the antivaxxers and so called "vaccine hesitant" covidiots who have "fallen short."
Biden succeeded in making the vaccine much more available and easier to access. He did his job, and that's
all he could do. Most of the people who haven't been vaccinated by now are in three categories:
1. Adults who are unvaccinated by their own stupid choice
2. Kids who are in age groups for whom the vaccine has not yet been approved for use
3. People of any age who can't be vaccinated for genuine medical reasons
None of the above is within Biden's control, and it ticks me off that anyone is saying he has "fallen short."

(8,291 posts)67% is amazing considering 6 months ago, 45 had no freaking plan to distribute vaccines. They were ready to go in January and Bam, new POTUS and by July, millions and millions have been given their FREE jab. Surely the former guy wanted to get rich on those shots! Im sure he got rich on ventilators and PPE without anybody catching that. All the fraud in the PPP loans to companies that didnt need it. How much money did the 45 org get for covid relief? Somebody look into that, okay?
