...situated, went for Trump, Crystal Lake itself went for President Biden. In 2018, districts 6 and 14, both of which have parts of McHenry county, elected Democratic House reps Casten and Underwood.

McHenry county is the only one of the collar counties of the greater Chicago area that is not blue. In many of our local elections, Republican candidates are often unopposed.
