my mom & a bro ea. got a small check from the gov't. & Biden didn't have his name on them. what

are they for? I checked the intertubes and couldn't figure it out.

There was a change in the law regarding tax on Unemployment compensation and as a result the IRS is sending refunds to those that qualify and have filed their 2020 tax return. If this is the case you should receive a letter from the IRS after you receive the payment.
