Insurance companies can give 3 more months for those remaining hold-outs who are able to get the vaccine. After that, crank their rates up by 30% to cover not only these members' increased risk, but to cover the risk that they'll help breed an even more potent variant that will bring down other policy holders and significantly impact the insurance companies' bottom lines.

(1,495 posts)They have to do something to get these vaccination rates up.
Either mandate the vaccines and have vaccine passports or make them pay for their own covid treatment, which is very expensive. That's the only way they will get enough people vaccinated for this nightmare to end for immune compromised people like me.
The honor system is ridiculous. Knocking on people's doors isn't going to work and might be dangerous for the people doing that job.
In my town, they originally said you had to be vaccinated to attend sporting events, but then they caved on that. The unvaccinated are happily trotting around unmasked and not having any inconveniences.
